Introduction
Rapid prototypes were developed as proof of concepts to visually pitch and communicate ideas to government officials, clients, and stakeholders. With a typical timeline of just two days, I worked closely with the CEO to quickly create Adobe XD prototypes, demonstrating smart city solutions.

Typically completed within just two days, the timeline highlights the efficiency and agility required to create impactful, high-fidelity designs ready for client pitches and stakeholder presentations.
From Concept to Prototype
The rapid 2-day turnaround for each prototype, emphasising the project’s fast-paced within the discovery, planning & structure, and rapid prototyping stages.

DRT was a transportation concept where services are flexible and adapt to passenger needs in real-time, often using mobile apps to manage bookings, routes, and schedules. This approach is commonly used for ride-sharing.

Project Thoughts
As this was my first rapid prototypes project, I found the format quite intimidating due to the strict, short deadlines for each deliverable. However, having become familiar with
TRAC Mobility’s core projects by that point, I had prior experience designing a similar platform, which helped me navigate the challenges more effectively.

The Smart City concept for Muğla, Turkey, offers both residents and tourists seamless access to a range of smart city services and local news. Users can easily access ride-hailing options, as well as plan, pay for, and use public transportation services.

For the Mugla Smart City rapid prototype, the most difficult part was figuring out how the resident and tourist views would work, as I realised they were generally the same, with differing features.
This project provided a valuable learning curve, as I had to tackle a more complex concept in a very short amount of time, this is where my earlier design process really came into play.

FamilyTAXI concept is a female-only ride-hailing platform based in Oman, where both drivers and passengers are exclusively women. Safety is a core priority, with clear visibility of driver and vehicle details, including contact information. The platform also features a driver rating system to ensure trust and reliability for every ride.

The FamilyTAXI concept definitely stood out as it was unique, offering features I hadn’t worked on before, with very specific and curated elements that set it apart from most other apps or concepts out there.
I had to conduct further secondary research for this app concept and gain an understanding of a culture I had no prior knowledge of.

This smart city app is designed for residents of Rzeszów, providing seamless access to local news, events, and government announcements. Users can plan, pay for, and preview public transport services, hire micromobility vehicles, and request taxis. Additionally, the app features live streams and supports both Polish and English for an inclusive experience.

As this was my last rapid prototype while working at TRAC Mobility, I could clearly see how my skills had improved through my experience with both core and rapid projects. I enjoyed this one the most, as it had a clearer brief and set of requirements, resulting in a more polished and curated concept.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with a colleague from Poland, gaining firsthand insights into Polish culture, expectations, and language proficiency.
